Sunny days like this past weekend were meant to be spent on the beach and so we decided for a little getaway at the seaside. We chose island Krk in Croatia because it is relatively close, it is perfect for only two days, also you don’t need to take a ferry so it can be pretty affordable. We were based in Punat, in southwestern part of the island, but decided to explore Stara Baška because of its pretty and secluded bays. Here, if you are lucky, you can have the whole beach (or a little bay) for yourself. And luckily we found it! On our first day we drove across the island and admired the mountainous and rugged landscape with almost desert-like feel. We drove until the end of the road in Stara Baška and had a quick and refreshing dip in one of the bays. On the following day we decided to explore some more and went further on by foot, since the road ends and it cannot be accessed by car. After a short 15 minute hike in the sun stunning views offered just what we were looking for – crystal clear turquoise water that just invites you in. Need I say more? Let the pictures speak for themselves.
