Vienna is one of the places where I like to return time and time again and every time discover something new. This time it was actually my first time in Schonbrunn palace and gardens and it was not the grandiose palace or magnificently curated gardens that impressed me the most, but it was rather the 19th century green house, almost hidden at the one side of the gardens. The so-called Palm House is the biggest of its kind in Europe with plants from all over the world. Admission of mere 5€ makes it super accessible and the fact that there are almost no tourists at all is an added bonus. The tropical feel inside, colourful flowers and wonderful architecture take you to another place. For me Vienna just has a certain charm that makes me want to come back and what is more every time it offers something new.
