Polignano a Mare | Italy

I wanted to share with you photos from our trip to the south of Italy in the beginning of May. Polignano a Mare was just a short stop point on our 1300 kilometres long road trip, but it was definitely one of the most memorable ones. It is situated in Puglia region in the south-eastern coast of Italy, some 30 kilometres south of Bari. We stopped there on our way to Alberobello, and although our stop was very short I am so glad we did it, otherwise we would have missed this gem of tiny town. Polignano a Mare is a dreamy little town full of pastel-coloured houses built on the cliff ends facing the Adriatic sea. The perfect way to explore this cute little town is to just walk around and enjoy its beauty. A sight to the deep turquoise sea and waves crashing underneath cliffs is simply spectacular. In the summertime the small bay with pebble beach can get crazily crowded, so we were lucky to have visited in May. Since this was only a short stop on our road trip through south Italy I cannot give you any specific recommendations, expect you have to visit it! It’s really lovely town, so enjoy the photos as I believe are an inspiration and maybe an idea for future travel plans. 🙂
